I don't mind owning. It does open up ALOT of possiblities that would be closed otherwise. Most of my import collection never made it to R1, despite having English subtitles. Aren't you the one complaing about the lack of talent in Hollywood? There's talent out there, but the movies don't always make it over here. Finding a US destributor can be a hassle, but things are finally getting better. I suspect you are relatively new to Asian movies, but the choice is yours.
Not to mention, many of the imported movies are heavily edited by the US distributors. Mirimax is famous for turning imports into jiberish. I was looking at copies of "The Legend of Zu", and saw that the US version has 25 minutes cut out. I'll try to find an import version.
