Good start, boring two third long, nice acting in the end.
Well directed, 100% professional in every way.
For fans only.
Follow Ups:
Typical melodramatic, artless Hollywood bullshit that offered little insight into Cash or his music. His life can't be reduced down to a love story with June and an addiction to pills. Words cannot express how sickened I am by this simplistic film.
Well you are too hard on it. It would be my post if I were in a very bad mood.
She played very well.
Feel better now? The movie wasn't about his life. It was about his relationship with June. You think it was garbage. I think it should have been a best picture nominee. I thought the performances were outstanding. I certainly enjoyed it more than Brokeback Mountain.
All 4 of the Rick Rubin produced American recordings are worth owning, IMO-Cash himself felt it was his best work, and I concur.
It was a naked man singing. At his best. Wonderful.
You're a fan of Johhny Cash?!
That must be as rare as an American appreciating Johhny Haliday or Serge G.
I like what was said at the Oscars about this movie: it's a white version of "Ray."
Ha ah ha
A fan? Not really, but I much and that very appreciated his record " American Recordings ".
Wonderful and direct cut to the heart, if I may say so.
I certainly not the only one, over here. true words always found its way.
But Serges Gainsbourg, that is another world, much more wicked and intellectual, but that is not to say, better....
How was Ray?
Ray was very good. Jamie Foxx was absolutely possessed by the character. The film did a nice job incorporating the music. Recommended.
Thank you, When it comes my way I will watch it. I have the film....music..
