The most interesting surprises for me were the excerpts from the Material (Bill Laswell)/William Burroughs album "Seven Souls" played at the beginning of the episode and during the ending credits.

Death by hanging, and the subsequent discharge of bodily fluids, was a common theme in some of Burroughs' writing. Coincidence?
