Ever had a film that marks you yet you fail to understand why?
One that troubles you about it's motives, as to whether there's some point that you may've missed that the director wanted to make or that, simply, the director missed the target but caused a hole somewhere?I saw Suspicious River once on DVD and have been meaning to re-see it but it's pretty hard-going, not boring, hard-going - what's the message?
Should I bother to go back and try and find one?
It itches, so maybe, yes.ps the 1 commentary on IMDB is maybe a little too flippant...
Follow Ups:
Yes - with that Gus VS flick based on the final days of Kurt Cobain's life. I think its called Last Days? Anyway, pretty much nothing happens in the movie - there is hardly any dialog and very little action. But I found the flick to be really disturbing. I suppose if I wan't familiar with Cobain's history of depression and suicide the movie wouldn't have done much for me (except bored me.)
