Did anyone else watch and enjoy (except for the commercials) the Dune miniseries on the Sci-Fi Channel? I was impressed with both the visual richness and the craft in telling the story, including the culture and the politics, especially when you consider the David Lynch movie. It was interesting to see Giancarlo Giannini acting again, portraying the Emperor in this one.

Yes, very nice telling. I recorded it so I could speed through the commercials. There was enough dialog for someone to follow it even if they had not read the books. Can't say that for Lynch's version.drobo
