I'd just like to know the history of it. Has Vic ever seen or had AuPh seriously admit to wearing fake leather pants? What started it all? Seems to be an original A.A. urban legend or something. Thanks guys for the edification.
Guy.
(My panties are all in a bundle until the true story comes out)
No, it's true. AuPh once posted a photo at the Outside Asylum of himself wearing the shiny, skin-tight leather pants. He must have known that this unusual fashion statement would open himself up to ridicule, but he seems to take the good-natured ribbing in stride. The pants may or may not have been faux leather. But they were, beyond doubt, ridiculous. For what it's worth, Victor may be continually bringing this up to deflect attention away from an embarrassing photo he posted around the same time - a picture of himself posing in a late 18th century French military uniform. Will he be wearing this ensemble to his daughter's wedding? Stay tuned at Outside...
Here are the facts:1) My fine grain leather trousers are tailored, and yes, there probably were cows sacrificed at some point in the process, but as far as the gory details are concerned I never inquired of my tailor.
2) The only "faux" I'm aware of are the foes who are jealous.
3) Leather attire and unorhtodox clothing in general is rarely perceived as ridiculous except by "mundanes" (a word well known in the science fiction community for anyone who is so straight-laced in their attitudes and behavior as to find anything outside of their narrowly defined common experience as weird or unacceptable)
4) Leather isn't uncommon attire for convention & concert goers or performers at rock concerts and some stage entertainers
5) As a professional artist, frequent concert goer and occasional stage entertainer (art auctioneer), leather attire is entirely appropo; it's even become a trademark of my stage work
6) That posted photo was taken at DragonCon, not a banker's convention! ;^)
BTW, most of my armchair critics are usually wearing BULL when not modeling the emporer's new clothes, so they have little room to talk about what anyone else wears. As for Victor, I tease him about having a Napoleonic complex for a variety of reasons having nothing to do with his wardrobe, but the photo does tend to underscore what most folks were undoubtably already thinking.
...but did AuPh and Vic truly post their own faces along with the garb?Guy.
I'm rarely embarrased by personal photos, although there are bound to be some ancient snap-shots out there somewhere that I'd wince at retrospectively.FTR, I tend to be more self-conscious about being 20 pounds over my ideal body weight and concerns about MPB than what is or isn't popular apparel-wise! Note: I think the Telly Savalas look is more Victor than me, but I have trouble envisioning Victor ever uttering the words: "Who loves ya, baby?" (grin)
The bottom line is that I'm very comfortable in my chosen attire, regardless of the situation or whether I select leather, denim, Irish tweed or Italian wool for the occasion.
Victor is apparently a horse of an entirely different color (even though his inclination for poupon-arrogance rarely illustrates more than the southern view of a north-bound horse).
At any rate, the questions you should be asking are:
1) Was there any effort to retouch Victor's 'Napoleon Dynamite' image?
2) Did ol' Vic have any serious work done (nip/tuck)?
3) If the answer to 1 & 2 above is a resounding NO, then the obvious follow-up question should be: why not?
Stay tuned for the next thrilling chapter! ;^D

... "male package bulge", which is always a concern when wearing tight shiny faux leather pants.
LOL!! and don't forget, the assless option gets you an additional 15% off too. perfect for watching LOTR........
...an enlarged ASS port is a given, not an option! ;^)> > > "perfect for watching LOTR........" < < <
Be advised, it is politely suggested that you leave any criticsm of LoTR out of your assinine ad hominem trolls, if you don't want to get torn a virtual new one by fans of the trilogy.

If you think the Chimp-in-charge is my man, so to speak, you must have been asleep at the wheel for the past couple of years.
