Whilst, for an American film, it didn't totally demonise the Palestinians, it did go out of its way to make the Israeli assassins/bombers rather cuddly. Which I found especially ugly by the time they were running rampant killing anyone they took a dislike to, particularily the woman on the houseboat and blowing up hotels.
I found the way the guy in charge of them (sorry its been so long since I have seen it that I have forgotten details like names) would go from committing terrorist acts to phoning his wife to talk to his kid particularily unbelievable.

"I found the way the guy in charge of them (sorry its been so long since I have seen it that I have forgotten details like names) would go from committing terrorist acts to phoning his wife to talk to his kid particularily unbelievable."......... I liked this movie, although it works much better as entertainment than as a piece "based on actual events." (Some may prefer the description of "a bastardization of actual events.") I completely agree with Dave C's comment, (quoted above) and found this part of the protagonists' character especially distracting during the final 30 or so minutes of the movie.
