This is one of Woody Allen's best, made during one of his most creative periods. He skillfully interweaves the lives and loves of three upper class maiddle aged New York City sisters, along with their aging theatrical parents. Extremely well cast, acted, and directed. It has some funny Woody quips as well and stands up to repeat viewings.
Follow Ups:
A classic. One of my favourite. The music & the text and the actors.
A pleasure.
Max Von Sydow has a few classic lines in this one:"If Jesus came back and saw what's going on in His name, He'd never stop throwing up."
".... Max Von Sydow has a few classic lines in this one: "If Jesus came back and saw what's going on in His name, He'd never stop throwing up."LOL - yes this one has a few great one liners. I also like Husbands and Wives which I think is from (approx) the same period? Its been a while since I watched either but I think they are 2 of Woody's better efforts.
