I think a person's enjoyment of it depends on how jaded they allow themselves to be. It certainly was not a "great" movie, but I don't think that's they were aiming for. It's a cute, fun, silly, harmless bit of entertainment for anybody who still has some kid left in them.

Saw it last weekend... and I'm still chuckling over this one piece of dialog. I can't even explain why I think it's so funny, but I do:

Flippers (detective/frog): "Why do they call you Red?"
Red: "They call me Red because of this red hood I wear."
Flippers: "What about when you're NOT wearing it?"
Red (in a sarcastic whisper): "I usually wear it."

I also thought that creating the wolf/reporter in the style of Fletch was very funny touch for the viewers old enough to get it.
