Of its three acts I found the first the strongest and the third the weakest.
Absolutely! A bit boring and without clear direction.
But the interaction on the ship with the three of them is just gorgeous. It sparkle like champagne and Lubitsch says " hello ".
This is s Preston Sturges film.
I know I know but it has the wit!
Ernst Lubitsch is my prefered director for this kind of films.
Well then, Sturges is a close second, no?
No, his work is quite uneven. " Sullivanīs Travel " is also one I really like. He was a very colourfull person.
But no Lubitsch.
