Frank Darabont was born on January 28, 1959. Two years after Forbidden Planet was released. His first works, as assistants and such were in the early eighties. Still a great artist though.P

Actually, I prefer a FP sequel, rather than a remake. Sometime before
Darabont entered the picture,
New Line producers approached Sci-Fi writer/editor Harlan Ellison
about writing the script for the remake, when he suggested a sequel
instead, he was flatly rejected. - AH
