We just can't seem to get enough of them. This time Hopkins and Paltrow are a father/daughter team sharing gifted genes. Unfortunately, the acron doesn't fall far from the tree and Paltrow is (forseeably) as nuts as dad. Enter dad's death, distant sister, dad's mathematical protege, and lots of notebooks. Now, we have Paltrow claiming a proof her dad may have written and the strain on sanity and relationships go asunder. This is a reasonably well-acted film but rather tedious due to the subject matter, being a stage play (originally), and lack of cars chases and breasts.
All you pseudo's who crave drama will probably love.

I hope that was meant to be a funny review as otherwise...
I thought this a very good 'small" film although its theatre heritage does show.
And why would a film aout a mathematical formula be any more inherently boring than one about coded messages in artwor.... oh dear...
