Anyone seen it yet? Not much in the theaters lately - hoping this one might be worth my $9.00.Was Gosford Park the last film Altman made? (Prior to the one in the theaters cuurently.) I thought GP was very good....
Follow Ups:
I just got back from 'A Prairiehome Companion" and I enjoyed it though it was mostly a behind the scenes look at the radio show without much for a plot (though there is enough to keep you interested). This is a movie that creeps on you and before you know it you care about everyone in it. I suppose that is the mastery of Robert Altman. It was fun and I really like most of the actors in it. If you like a Prairiehome Companion on NPR it is worth a look, but can not compare with Altman's (considerable) best.
My mom saw it and said it was pretty good. I like the radio show enough to see the movie, I just hope he mics it half sanely so you can actually hear the dialog, unlike Gosford Park. He's made a couple of films in between that not many people have seen.
/*Music is subjective. Sound is not.*/
I heard the dialogue of one scene on NPR Friday. If that was a fair sample, the movie will be great. It'll do for Minnesota what "Fargo" did for ND.
"Fargo" takes place in Minnesota, except for the very first scene, and all the accents and mannerisms are those of Minnesotans.
lol
North Dakotan's don't talk that way for sure, only Minnesotans!
Ya, you betcha.
Did you hear about the Palestinian who married the Norwegian? THey named their first-born Yassar Youbetcha!
