Anyone heard of any plans for an Alien(s) 5? 3 and 4 were dogs,
esp. 3, so I am not expecting a 5, but am hoping. Anyone heard
anything?Mike

Three and four kicked ass!Mr. Cameron is probably preoccupied with other projects, such as Terminator 3. We'll have to wait a while for another Alien :(
Cameron really isn't part of the Alien franchise. Ridley Scott directed the first (and best IMO) and other directors did 3 and 4.Doug Schneider
I know that James Cameron was responsible for the design of the ships/weapons in more than one of the movies, I just naturally assumed he was a key element to the franchise. Plus I wanted to mention T3!
Boy are you a stickler for detail. ;^)Ridley is probably more interested in a Gladiator II

And, Ridley looked so nice in Galaxy Quest. I was hoping for a sequel. It was hilarious!
....just my 2¢

Scott is one of my favorite directors. I'm really looking forward to Hannibal. As for the Alien series, I found #1 the best of the bunch, although I can understand why people like #2 so much.Doug Schneider

I once read what seemed at the time to be a deeply-penetrating, intellectual reading of the first Alien film (not, fortunately, a Freudian reading). If only I could find it again.Care to elaborate on why you found A3 "intellectually stimulating"?
