We weren't expecting much. We got less than we expected. We thought the doggie survival story had promise as simple entertainment. Disney knows how to make good animal stories, right? Wrong. Waaay wrong. The story is ridiculously contrived. The characters are empty snowsuits. The "artic" scenery is dull. Even the dogs are duds as animal stories go. If you want to enjoy something frozen, buy a pint of Haagen-Daz.

...I'd rate it a C+ since the plot is similar to other 'left behind animal movies' - "Homeward Bound' is my favorite and may be one of the first. My only criticism is the dogs looked too well groomed and healthy after surviving the harsh winter.
