Speaking of symbolism (or allegory, at least) in the Coen Bros. movies, what do you make of that birth/defecation scene with John Goodman and William Forsythe in "Raising Arizona" (other than that it's a kind of birth/defecation)?

It means 1) that John Goodman would do anything to avoid spending more time with Roseanne Barr, or 2) shit happens. I guess William Forsythe was a breech birth.
