I know exactly what you mean... we just finished watching a rather trashy Russian cop mini-series... you feel dumb wathing it, yet come back for the next episode. The big question always being "Will the hero finally get to screw the female lead?" He did not. Fortunately it is over now...
There's no sexual tension in the show at all, between anyone. Nope, I'm just hooked into a stupid plot-line that requires an enormous suspension of disbelief for one to take the ride. This'll be over soon enough as well but I'm starting to think that Dumb and Dumber might have been time better spent.
