Was doing a little channel surfing on Saturday and caught this one by Steve Buscemi. I hadn't seen this movie in a long time and found it to be much better than I recalled. Not much happens, in terms of plot, but there are a tons of interesting characters and the film moves right along. Buscemi does a great job of playing a character who is, for lack of a better descritption, a likeable loser. I could not believe how many actors I recognized in this movie. I guess a lot of these guys were indie actors, or pretty small time, at the time of Trees Lounge. Quite a strong cast..... Buscemi, Debi Mazur, Anthony LaPaglia, Daniel (?) Baldwin, Michael Imperioli, Chloe Sevigny, Larry Gilliard, Sam Jackson, John Ventimiglia etc...
Follow Ups:
Hi,
at the beginning you are looking at a drink who life has passed by.
At the end, life has passed the main character by, and he is sitting in
the exact same seat.... waiting to die.
Actually I missed the first couple of minutes. I thought the movie was just ok when I first saw it about 10 years ago. But this time around I thought it was really quite good.
Grins
Don't forget Elizabeth Bracco and Mimi Rogers!
