Grand Slam was the US release of an Italian film by the famous Italian Director Marcello Mastroantonio (if I recall correctly) that featured Edward G. Robinson and Janet Leigh (of Psycho fame). It was an action suspense movie centered in Rio de Janiero during Carnival that had some incredible scenes (and an incredible ironic ending) that have recently been loosely and variously recreated in Mission Impossible and Entrapment... It was released back in about 1971. From what I can tell it was never released on vcr, beta, or obviously, not on DVD. Anybody ever hear of it? See it? Know where one might get a copy or even be able to see it? I've been seeking a copy forever...

Is this what you are talking about? I recall seeing it, but not much more. Makes sense to see it again.
