Since THe Office hit Britain thefake doco has both hit new heights and had a difficult time of living up to the greatness of that show.
Here is a cinematic release with Tim... errr Martin Freeman playing that same ordinary guy trying to make his life work.
I wanted to leave within 5 minutes but within 15 minutes was very glad I stayed.
I was completely wom over by this film despite some queasy moments...
Its about a wedding competition to stage the year's wackiest wedding in order to win a house.
The contestants are embarrassing and honest and become heroes and villains and even the corniest of scenes have a way of suddenly erupting into something genuinely convincing and moving.
You'll laugh... you'll cry...

It manages to combine a lot of different stuff but hang in there and its very enjoyable. I would suggest having a few drinks with friends and all going along.
There was only a small audience at the afternoon screening I went to, but people were laughing out loud, and often.
And there is a surprise extra proposal at the end.
Stay for the credits and find out why I always think Ian Dury is as good a musician as England has ever produced.
I came out feeling... uplifted... well maybe, but its a heartwarming film and one to make an old cynic like me laugh.
