I heard David Lynch was making it! I grew up in the Inland Empire...Is the film set in modern day? I was hoping for 50's - 60's... back then it was beautiful....all orange groves and vineyards! I remember playing in my front yard and the smell of orange blossoms wafting through the air. Did the film feature this linked landmark? Just curious....My wife and I got married there at the St. Francis chapel...I looked for a movie trailer on this about a month ago...I'll have to look again.... Blue Velvet was unique but Elephant Man is still my favorite Lynch film!!!
Follow Ups:
...in San Bernardino in 1965-66. Then I travelled there again periodically in the late 1990s.The area always had a strange vibe. I can hardly wait for the film.
I really enjoyed 'Mulholland Drive' - Naomi Watts and trying to figure it all out. The best review I read was in TAS' "The Perfect Vision".
µ..I was unaware that Inland Empire was an actual place.
It brought to mind the subconscious, to me!
most movies filmed in the Inland Empire almost always use this historic resort....
