The 2006 Russian dark comedy is one of the films I bought back from the trip, and it is hilarious!Never mind the unfamiliar director's name and the fact it might be very hard to find - it is worth it, if... if they do good job with the subtitles, as the dialogue is colloquial but also very important.
The film has just received the Best Film award at the Rome festival.
A real gem, BUT... make sure you bring in all your sense of humor - you will need it plus some!
Liya Akhedzhakova truly shines in that film. What... you mean you don't know her? Well... shame on you, and try to correct that glaring problem as soon as you can, she is more than worth it!

Since you kind of asked, Spasibo is the correct writing, but "spasiba" is the proper pronunciation.
Are there really pockets of colloquials living as they did in the movie? It's like time stood still or passed them by.(Yeah, yeah, I know--"Deliverance".)
Not sure if I will, my wife will probably cut my balls off. I know about it.
