... I cannot work out why it was called Godzilla.
I have seen just about everything the TOHO CO has made or at least the famous monster stuff, and this "godzilla" looked like a refugee from Jurassic Park.
Kind of like the Mission Impossible films have NOTHING to do with the original and I wonder why someone has paid for use ermmmm I mean abuse of the name.
I suppose the films are passable... but why would anyone bother?
The sole thing I noticed in the film was Hank Azaria who does about 10 voices on the Simpsons.
Other than that I was more interested in my salad.
Now I can settle down to Salaam Bombay and some wine instead of crap and whine...
Follow Ups:
The American Godzilla was so bad, so forgettable. I completely agree. The only connection is the word Godzilla. In the last Toho Godzilla, Final Wars, they put the American version in as an enemy monster and it gets destroyed by the Japanese Godzilla in seconds. They even added some dialogue about the uselessness of the American version. Made me laugh.
... and rather too much of it.
Or at least that was my revised opinion this morning...
wasn't your fault they called it Godzilla.
... I combined watching it with alcohol.
See above review of She Hate Me for another horrendous experience...
