I did some work on this one a week ago. I had never heard of it and I don't know if it was already in theaters, or is not yet released,or is going straight to home vid.Ten minutes in I thought this was amoungst the worst films I'd ever seen. By the end I liked it alot. It uses an unusual story telling method that I won't disclose. It is about a man with a serious memory flaw due to trama that is seeking revenge for his murdered wife. This story telling technique left me feeling very uncomfortable and very much like what this character must feel.

Best advice I've heard: Go with friends so you can figure it out afterwards.clark
Clark....Have you seen it, or just heard something about it ? As I watched it at 10 minutes in I didn't know what the F they were doing and thought it a real POS. By 20 mintues or so I figured the technique out and thought how wierd, but I didn't hate it anymore. By the end I had been completely sucked in and felt very weirded out, that they could make the audience feel so much of what the character felt. It was one of those films that took awhile for me to shake off afterwards. "Seven" gave me a similar feeling kind of like I needed to go home and watch Bambi. Mementos is not a "Seven" but it evoked a similar powerful response from me at least YMMV.

read all about it! The Wall Street Journal on Friday had a *very interesting* review that also manages not to give away the trick.clark
