With hundred and fifty films to his credit, he gave us an incredible memory... with films ranging from touching The Old Made to disgusting La Grande Buffe, he showed a tremendous range, all the way to the highly unlikely kind guy unleashing his vengence on the Germans in The Old Gun.

Regardless of his role, one could always see a true gentleman in him.
