There was a flatness to it and it felt more like seeing skits from a comedy troupe than an ensemble cast creating believable - even if they're far fetched, like in the previous films - character's in a film.
There were a few funny moments but the standard set was pretty high and this one didn't come close (IMO of course).

If this had been the first Christopher Guest movie maybe, but not after Waiting for Guffman and Best in Show. Even Eugene Levy was not at his best.
