membership.Three months fast.I had run out of movies. It was bound to happen.
Follow Ups:
kidding, right?
taste....also known as standards or discernment.Merely having been released on DVD doesn't, for me automatically qualify some visual arts compilation as worth watching. Why don't you make some suggestions for me?
And I have been doing this for close to four decades. With the number of good new films coming up there's not enough time to revisit the classics. Four to six films a week is not enough to keep the pace.
so this is not a problem though my knowledge of the existence of such films is limited.Honestly,as interesting as They Drive by Night with Bogey was i felt it was near the bottom of the barrel.I really felt stumped in finding anything appearing interesting and i didn't want to just start reviewing old standbys. Maybe the three months fast will show me some of these new movies Netflix has added and I'll have a pleasant surprise in store for the rest of the Winter which after all is the time of year you need good movies to enjoy inside.I hope what i meant as a teasing jest to Tinear wasn't given any serious weight.. Its evident in reading his posts he doesn't lack good insight into quality films.
But I guess we all have our roads... I am just mightily surprised at what you are saying.
I didn't mean my statement to be some kind of declaration that I have seen all there is to see by any means only that I wasn't finding any when i needed to refill my queue that looked terribly appealing.
I've been a Netflix member for a several years, pretty much since they began.I suppose i am rather conservative and am hesitant to simply add anything to the queue just to check it out.One area i haven't explored at all is Asian films i think because the Culture is so very foreign to mine here in the US that i fear lacking any reference points will make it a wasted effort.I can relate with Bergman's films though they be in Swedish and some French and Polish films, Solaris was the only Russian film i rented but Netflix will automatically reactivate on January 1st so i am hunting for Films to add to the list.
