Argento used Kodak film stock that had date expired and then had it pushed in the development process to get those unworldly colors
And some odd stuff done with resized interior doors to alter perspective too
Agreed; there are mostly crummy lines and it's a silly story
I've been a fan of Suspiria since it's release; nothing Dario Argento has done since is as good
It's a Classic

I wish more people would shoot with Expired Kodak Film Stock !!First time I saw Suspiria was in 77 at the drive-in and it spooked me for years afterwards. It wasn’t till the mid 80's for the second viewing but on a very used vhs. Then a couple more times on vhs in the 90's, then one time at the midnight movies, and now here at home where it struck hard with superior quality DVD! Nice sound too.
