...if I should recommend this one or not. Hypothetical story of Beethoven's last three years. Ed Harris is terrific in the title role, even tho he is profoundly deaf at some points, apparently not at others. A little odd. He can't shout the dialog throughout the movie.The soundtrack. I was expecting lush versions of the 9th etc. Somehow the soundtrack did not have the audio fidelity I had hoped for. Like listening to0 the 9th on a boom box. Theater sound system or movie..I don't know. It needed work.

From the trailer, this looks like a laugh a minute. A hoot. A pretty young thing giving advice to Lud and he decides to mentor her.
Ed looked so... beastly. Actually, from what I saw, his tortured expression recalled someone suffering from a kidney stone.
Supposedly, Ed was a pretty fair running back in high school.
...he stretched himself out to play James Joyce? It could be an experimental film in which Bloomsday intertwines with biographical sketches from Joyce's life. A laugh a minute.
