Brian Cox is one of those theatrical yeomen who can save a dimly lit film and his portrayal of the seasoned British agent was strong and steady.I don't know what we would do without him or Gambon, Caine, or O'Toole popping up when they do.
Follow Ups:
and the lead actor is hopelessly miscast. Saying he isn't Alec Guiness
doesn't go nearly far enough. Then there was Jolie, who I like, but face it. she has the eye of the tiger. She can't do mouse; it's not in her. Then there is the lack of backstory; crucial moments go unpexplained.
And there is more!It sucks in more ways than I want to take the time to discuss.
That seemed a little jarring. Why did she have to be treated the way she was in the plane?

accomplishes. In the UK, where you go to school and are classically trained, you end up with superb actors like the ones you name, rather than personalities like Damon, and Jolie. Royal Shakepseare Acadamy for one; if anyone graudated, they are a great actor, period. I don't find Jolie much of an actress, and her surgery makes her look like she is earing thoe wax lips you used to be able to buy at the liquor store, near Halloween.
As if making them so thin they look like refections in a distorting mirror.
Huge heads and bones sticking out. Unfeasible breasts.
The studio of Dr. Moreau.
I thought they did it to themselves with the help of plastic surgeons

It's actually fairly well known that they're real. Here are a couple a pics from when she was a little girl.

Depp need to realize they just can't do it.
They seem to feel it establishes an actor's bona fides to successfully manage one. It doesn't, at least not in either of their cases. Pathetic.
