I was at BJs today and found to my surprise, "Basic Instinct" (an eager beaver attempt to replicate Vertigo) at $5.99!! Also picked up Fargo for $12.99! This is getting ridiculous...I have found many worthy discs, albeit not quite classic fare. Costco and BJs selection is pretty pathetic, but always cheaper than even websites, especially considering shipping charges. Even the new remaster of Ben Hur was $12.99 (a very decent and underrated film. Amateur reviewers always seem to take a swing at this William Wyler spectacular.. but it is an honest and workmanlike film, especially compared to the wildly overpraised Spartacus...which Stanley Kubrick never failed to condemn for the producers' "cut" and the Hollywood ham served up by the hardheaded Kirk Douglas. Kubrick says he felt so helpless in his (vain) attempts to improve the picture in filming, editing/post-production that he hightailed it out of Hollywood to avoid the inevitable future hassles & battles with these obtuse and craven hacks.

Let's see here....I would be an eager beaver for the beaver in Basic Instinct for 5.99 also. Got any extra copies?
As I recall Sharon "didn't you have a career in films once?" Stone always claimed that she'd been tricked into revealing more than she wanted to, or something like that. Anyway, at her insistence the most "over - exposed" frames were allegedly removed when the film was prepared for VHS release. I'd imagine that's true of the DVD too. If you're really that eager, I'm sure the offending images can be found on the Internet somewhere.
There is something stuck to your shoulder. Why would I want to pay $5.99 for that "marvel" if I would not even take it for free?
I must have missed someone praising Spartacus... darn amateurs... they are everywhere...
