Then there are several levels of lesser and lesser "Hollywood-ization." Among these levels there are and always have been some very good films but I enjoy it all. Sometimes I want something deep, meaningful and "real" feeling and sometimes I want "Hollywood" schmaltz for pure mindless entertainment.

Big Budget Studio formula film making at it's worst. They actually had a decent kernel of an idea and went on to bury it in so much ridiculous "production value" that at one point the film makers even acknowledge it's stupidity.
Yes the story was not bad at all, and there was a certain quality of a vision here.
I think it is a film that may gain some texture as time pass by.
Too bad that it was screw-up.
It could have become something in the league of Blade Runner.
It was not unpleasant. And I will give it another go, in the next years.
