all are Great.
--Fists in the Pocket (IT): the thinking person's scary film; stunning cinematography. First film from Bellochio.
--The Children Are Watching Us (IT): not all courage is on the battlefield. A husband suspects his wife of cheating but his love for his son complicates his decision.
--A Taste of Cherry (Iranian): in post-war Iran, a middle-aged, listless man drives about, seemingly aimlessly.
--Spirit of the Beehive (SP): in post-Franco Spain, two young girls see a Frankenstein film and one of them decides a wounded soldier, hiding from the authorities, is his incarnation.
--Vidas Secas (BR): a man leads his wife and young son to a ranch where a terrible drought ensues.

and really like the cinematography. It is a beautiful film to look at, the setting near mountains is breathtaking as well as the technique used. The music too seems to fit perfectly.I really liked to see (what was done in the mid 60s) all aspects of this film.
The film is very powerful but ultimately disgusting to take in and quite bothersome to consider living in those circumstances. I can not give away what happens but, be ready to have an open mind to view this classic.
