Is there anybody who knows this japanese film? It's from 80's I believe... In Russia it was under title "Legenda o Narayane". This is story about small village in mountains, somewhere in 19 or earlier centuries. But may be in USA or in wwww.imdb.com it has another name?
Please, inform me if know anything about this masterpiece.

When I saw it, its title was "The Ballad of Narayama" and yes, it was the eighties. It depicts the frequently hard life of people in a small Japanese village. I enjoyed it.
