But it did amuse...me!
The idea ( not new, think of the films of Jouvet ) to travel from period to periodic rooms was very romantic.
It was more an educative film maybe that a " real " film, never the less it was a good show.

We watched it for the second time recently, mostly because my wife kept calling it garbage, so we wanted to set the record straight... I was far less impressed this time too.
I still loved the fly through the rooms, most of which I remember quite well... the Rembrandt room, the Rafael, etc. But the characters irritated me, and the ball scene which I used to recall with fond memories, now looked kinda flat.
