    Even before the film came out Ellroy was saying he didn't expect anything from it except hopefully a few extra sales.

      Quartet West is wonderful jazz group put together by bassist Charlie Haden. Their third CD, "Haunted Heart", the first of two
      "aural films" they did, is a wonderful introduction to jazz for a novice and it is one of five I always recommend to beginners.
