Sounded pretty good for prologic. You may want to search some DVD places on the web to see if it is out. I may have seen it but cannot remember. Had it on LD but not sure if I will replace it. If it is mastered well, the race scenes should sound awsome as in Speedway or better.

If you like racing check out "Winning" if you haven't already. It was made '65 so its probably only available on VHS and I wouldn't recommend it for its sound quality, but its one of the better racing flicks.

  Thanks but I am not into racing per say. DoT was a interesting film though and had it on Laser.

I searched around and can't find anything about it on DVD :( I own superspeeway and it sounds awesome. If they remastered Days of Thunder i'm sure it would sound great being different kinds of automobiles/engines and all. Time will tell I guess.

  Don't know how it was masterd in the first place but if they have 6channel magnetic, no redo is needed. If it was recorded on 70mm film, usually they do it in 6ch tape. Superman is like that. Check with Dolby on that as many 70mm film has 6ch from the past. Interesting. Discrete sound.
