Hi Victor....Interesting to see someone else bring "With a Friend Like Harry." I found it interesting and generally OK, but I didn't find it anywhere as compelling or gripping as something like "The Vanishing." The acting was all fine, but it didn't grab hold of me at any time. It was a take it or leave it film for me.Doug

No, it was not as grippy as The Vanishing, but then very few things have even a chance of even coming close. Its atmosphere was much more reluxed, almost too mater-of-factly given what was happening. But I thought it was an interesting movie, with a great deal to think about afterwards. Plus all that European flavor was incredibly involving. So I have easy time recommending it. The philosophical notion of us readily acepting the results of evil, if not evil itself, so long as it serves our perceived "good needs" was thought provoking. All in all, a film I would take in a hearbeat over that summer kaka we have being shown locally.
