I know this flick ain't set to be released for another week (at least in my backwater corner of the world), but does anyone have any meaningful advance review?Just curious to see how they've adapted what was essentially an obscure, underground comic into full-blown celluloid.
Follow Ups:
Ghost World is one of the best movies I've seen this year. Plus, I think I saw the film debuts of some of our Asylum members. They show up at Steve Buscemi's record-fanatic party talking about old 78s and spindle wear.
I saw it last night. I enjoyed Ghost World and would recommend it to most. First, it is not a Hollywood clone. Steve Buscemi is simply amazing: he's believable as a nerd and his taking this role is a testament to his acting range. The protaganist, Enid, is a study in sufficient complexity and definitely enigmatic. I have my own ideas about what the Bus represents and would be interested to hear yours. It's worth the price of the ticket. When it comes out on DVD, I will see it again.
