Any help here? I'm trying to remember the name of an early 80's sci-fi horror movie - with floating demons, trans-dimensional tuning machines, pituitary gland sucking, and weirdo S&M theme. (fun for the whole family!).It had a vibe similar to the Hellraiser movies.
anyone?
Follow Ups:
"The Dunwich Horror" and "The Reanimator". - AH
I was very impressed by "The Resurrected".
... The Haunted Palace (Vincent Price, 1960s).The title is from Edgar Allen Poe, but the character is Charles Dexter Ward. Not too bad, and a nice companion piece to The Dunwich Horror. I doubt it's on DVD though.
"The Reanimator" and Werewolf of London
2 of the funniest horror movies of all time!
Theres the scene in Reanimator where he's holding his head up to a young woman in a very, should we say "strategic area" ?
I almost choked from laughing so hard.
a severed head, kept alive by a diabolical orange liquid.Funny stuff that, brings people back to life, only they start bleeding at the mouth and become homicidal.
Hey wait a minute! Just the stuff to revive your fiance!

Check out the plot summary at www.imdb.com (a fabulous resource, by the way) and see if it's the one you're looking for. I remember watching this one on video in the afternoon and STILL being spooked.
Oh, and thanks to you, too, Randy.Bummer, From Beyond does not apear to be available on DVD.
Thanks for the IMDB recommendation. I wasn't having any luck with AllMovie.com - which is a great resource, but is a pain in the butt to browse.
with the pituitary gland sticking out of their foreheads and waving around like a little snake head...

what do you mean by your last three sentences? From a logical
viewpoint, the last statement seems inconsistent with the first
two, i.e.,in the first statement, one is distinctly visible; in the second, one
is vaguely visible, thus, in the third, wouldn't it follow that one would
be invisible, but still present (not absent)? Or is this a case of a
progressively reduced existence of an entity called "I",
presumed to be you, and not one of just visibility? Please enlighten me as I'm admittedly
unaware of the original context of these statements. - AH
More the second supposition than the first. For details, listen to Jefferson Starship, "Blows against the Empire".
