Bit could not stand it... so boring and idiotic... stayed through perhaps twenty minutes yawning...Just one question guys - who was that disfigured idiot?
Other than this... why do people make trash like this? And how much did it gross?

Seriously, it made lots of money based on the success of it's predecessor (i.e., which was excellent, albeit very disturbing in places), but the sequel is a so-so movie made from a much WORSE book. BTW, it's not the Director's fault (Ridley Scott) nor the Screen Writer's (David Mamet received ultimate credit, if I'm not mistaken), because the book could NOT be filmed as written. The movie is actually toned down; it was much more disgusting! I'm afraid Thomas Harris screwed the pooch on this one, probably because he'd grown to despise the character of Hannible Lecter and was pressured into writing it by his publisher.Hey Victor, didn't anyone warn you not to eat that hot macaronni & cheese casserole during the last ten minutes of the film? :o)

Sadly serendipitous is that 2x in the film they show a website of FBI's 10 most wanted and right in the middle, next to Dr.Lechter there's none other than Osama bin Laden. Saw the movie an hour ago, parts good(who can fuck up Florence?!), parts weird, overall no good. Brain scene was too much.

savoring. For a scene more palatable, check out the resturant
gag with the powdered toast in the comedy "Road Trip". - AH

I thought those lame effects were largely relegated to the SPR and "Friday the 13th" teenager movies. But then again, what do I know? After arriving here I was pleasantly surprised to see an adult man reading comics books in a store.
