Saw it last night and thought it was a brilliant filming of the first book, given the time constraints of a 3 hour-long movie instead of a 4 1/2-5 hour-long one and taking into consideration that the films are being released a year between rather than a week or month between.

It's by far the best fantasy film I've ever seen.
