I just saw the movie Frequency where a guy talks to his dead father over ham radio caused by solar flares. This movie was totally twisted in all the good ways. Are there any other movies out there that are similar? Great Movie, (VHS)

Good story! I liked the vintage ham radios too (heathkits), as I am a collector.
My friend who is very much into ham radios picked out this film. I was a bit reluctant about watching it, thinking it was going to be boring, but it wasn't. Cap, my friend was telling me all about the radio. The only thing I was thinking about the radio was how much them tubes might be worth. (Hey, I here North America is going to have some northern lights?) :o
The Dead Zone has a similar theme (angst-ridden man racing around trying to change the past/future) and amazing cinematography. Christopher Walken is creepy as always. Great movie. A little disturbing.Flatliners also has the theme of dancing with death/past/future - and with enough brat pack cheese to make it fun (assuming that Keifer Sutherland doesn't make you nauseous).
For some reason, Frequency reminds me of Cop Land - don't know why, maybe it just has that theme of slow self discovery in the face of crisis (along with 50% of all films ever made) . . or maybe I'm just weird. But Cop Land is a good movie, too.
I hope these suggestions help.
Thanks for the info. I'll have to rent the dead zone. Does Keifer Sutherland make you nauseous, lol, hehehehe.. yes he does have that ability.
