Went to see LOTRs. I could not believe the number of trailers that ran before the picture. Seriously, there might have been ten trailers. It was like 15 minutes of clips.
Follow Ups:
It is too much. It makes for a long movie going experience. If you have a soda and popcorn, you have to go to the bathroom before the movie starts.What's worse is the theaters that play commercials in addition to the trailers.
Nothing like paying 8 bucks to watch Britney Spears peddle Pepsi.
I can see the trailers being bad for people who go to the movies every now and then. I see a LOT of movies and, unfortunately, many of them are bad and some of the trailers are much better and turn out to be the best part! (I'm actually being serious here.)As for Britney...you've gotta admit that her ad is really good. I laugh every time when Bob Dole shows up.
