Perhaps, I expected more from Crowe or something similar in quality to "The Doors". But in the end, I thought the acting was flat... the plot was unrealistic...the characters shallow...the music predictable...and McDormand grossly underutilized. FWIW, my wife agrees with you. ;-)

Well I guess it brought back great memories of the time. I could relate to a lot of the things that happened in this movie. The drugs, jumping off a roof into the pool, the dizzy chicks. I guess I just forgot about the acting and enjoyed the movie.
