Just watched this DVD last night and really enjoyed it. Loved the strange story of cannibalism/vampirism mixed with the Sierra Nevada wilderness and Native American folklore. Also enjoyed the extra feature "Easter Egg" with the Donner Party map guide.
I saw this DVD a few weeks ago. I thought it was very amusing. From about the halfway point on, it got pretty ridiculous, but entertaining, to say the least. My girlfriend went home about 1/4 the way through it. "Stupid and Disgusting" were her words. Gorgeous scenery, a quirky score, and an unbelievable, yet entertaining story make Ravenous a definately worth a rental. Good luck!
