Here are some movies I've seen in the last two or three years:
(1) Men In Black - OK, entertaining; definitely worth a watch.
(2) Island of Dr Moreau - ridiculoso.
(3) Anaconda - one of my faves. Great cinematography and score.
(4) Starship Troopers - view to see the giant bugs alone!
(5) Titanic - should be viewed with plenty of beverage, pop corn, pizza
etc. and TIME!
(6) Ronin - I missed it, started to go to dollar theater to see it but
didn't, what a pity; will get the video eventually.
(7) Jackie Brown - OK; didn't like De Niro's role as the dimwitted ex-con.
(8) Booty Call - funny sometimes, but never developed the romproaring
sex scene I expected. (dollar theater)
(9) Wild Things - saw at theater, then on HBO several times -
plot composed of pretezel logic; ending so drawn out that the twists becomes very
predictable. Nice steamy hotel scene featuring Dillon, Denise and whatshername from Canada. Nice complimentary musical score for Fla. locale.
(10)The Haunting - if you can rent a discount video, do so just to see the
magnificient house and sets. don't expect to be frightened or put into
suspense. (dollar theater)
(11) Lake Placid - worth renting to see the big crocodile from Asia.
(dollar theater) Think it's about 45 minutes into the film before one
actually gets to see the big guy however.
(12) Three Kings - just saw it at the theater; pretty good flick; lots of
action and good pace.
(13) A Bug's Life - neat effects; will make you feel like a kid again.(dollar theater)
(14) Antz- another good animated film; with Woody Allen voicing the main
character; a little more mature than "A Bugs Life". (dollar theater)
(15) Dark City - good film, similar to "The Matrix".
(16) The Matrix - better than I expected; Carrie Anne Moss was impressive.
(dollar theater)
