I don't know how to write a review so I'll just say this was a good flick if you have a shallow sense of irony and a slightly twisted sense of humor. True to life and in one way or another, we've probably all been there. Definitely has its moments.Allan Ebert
Pretty good review, anyway. Yep, shallow and twisted, that's me! I thought that this film, along with "South Park", were the two funniest comedies of this year. As an MTV production, "Election" plays right along with an MTV-style audience. I loved the way that Ennio Morricone's spaghetti western screams punctuate the scenes when Tracy Flick goes postal. And actor Chris Klein out-denses Keanu Reeves high school roles. "Election" = "Ferris Buehler Goes To Hell"
My favorite scene was the pre-election day prayer vigils. I can't help thinking the Lord himself was laughing at those requests!
The Lord was probably laughing louder at Michael Dukakis.
