Arnold Schwarzeneeger has another film coming out, "End Of Days"; scheduled
for release 11-24-99. Peter Hyams directing. Plot Outline: "At the end
of the century, Satan visits NYC in search of a bride. It's up to an ex-
cop who now runs an elite security outfit to stop him." Hmmmm...now that
is going to be quite a feat, even for Arnie! I think there's a scene in
the film where Arnie and Satan are standing face to face, and Arnie growls,
"Get thee behind me Satan, tempt me not!" (just kidding!).
...unaccompanied by his usual "You bastards!" line. These action stars are going to have to stretch their range or stay unemployed as they age. Stallone tried in "Copland". Willis has been the only moderately successful crossover actor. But if Arnold runs for Governor, he and Jesse Ventura can have the "Predator/Running Man" reunion. Why don't we just elect porno stars like in Italy?
Like Mel Gibson cried in "Lethal Weapon", then literally showed his butt;
the farcical scene designed to promulgate the new " still tough, but now
sensitive male" men's liberation message: "Yeah, I can kick butt, show mine(sex object) and cry too, how bout
that ladies!" Of course, they ate it up.
It would be a classic Arnold line, after all.
