Who do you think will have the most revealing dress? Also, there is that trend. Seems like each year fewer and fewer good actors and movie personalities show up for the spectacle. Last year one could count good actors on one hand.
So - who will NOT show up this year?
Follow Ups:
Most revealing dress??? Who cares about that, either. Has anyone else noticed, in these times of politically correct castrati (Hollywood moguls), how endowed females are not allowed to star in films? Breast size, it seems, is assumed to be indirectly proportional to acting ability...to "gravitas." Julia R, Helen H, Marisa T, Goldie H (and her daughter), Gwyneth P, Kate B, Michelle Pf...not enough to fill anything larger than a training bra, collectively.Tragically, the only chances a guy has who enjoys the truly female form is to catch old films of Uma T and Winona on video...and Winona has made a career of hiding her body (anyone else highly disappointed by her ridiculous bathing suit in "....Quilts"?) on screen whilst, apparently, displaying it to anyone interested offscreen...
J Donnely, in "A Beautiful Mind" (and isn't it terrible to waste such a film on such a concept) is only considered suddenly of talent now that she looks half starved. Check out her face: her jawbone looks knarlier than Schwarzenegger's squeeze Maria Schriver)...
We live in strange times: lots of male nudity and flesh shown in movies, and very little (with the exception of Halle B and Kate W) of the female. Hell, today's male Hollywood stars have major pecs, far outstripping the women leads. We, gentle inmates, live in weird times. Jayme
Whoooah, what's that about J. Connely? You're kidding right? She's such a knockout it hurts to look at her (in that good aching kind of way).
Chris: Do yourself a favor and look at her earlier movies (including Mulholland Drive [I think that's the title of the movie she made with Nick Nolte & Dean Stockwell...something about an atomic bomb?]) or a very old movie she was in "starring" Don Johnson. Notice the rounded look? Now, look again at her in "ABM". Notice the boniness? The defintite lack of roundness, i.e. curves? Jayme
Yes, of course I've seen the movies you refer to. That doesn't seem to validate your point.
HA!
Maybe J-Lo will just show up naked. At least it would distract from the lame films being honored.I liked LotR, but if it's the best we got, God help us!
I just looked at the actors, and actually some talent made it : Judi Dench, Ian McKellan, Helen Mirren - of course they probably won't win anything.
The "Best Director" category is a joke.
J-lo? Nah, man, old news. How about this time George Clooney and the Gladiator man both showing up butt naked for a true equal-opportunity scandal?
"George Clooney and the Gladiator man both showing up butt naked for a true equal-opportunity scandal"Hmm, are you implying something about the two of them? Actually, that might explain a few things.
